Nighttime Breastfeeding: Breastfeeding at night has many hidden benefits for you and your baby. Stay in your PJ’s as we discuss nighttime breastfeeding and tips for getting rest. We are also happy to chat about other breastfeeding topics! Join our virtual group meet-up on Tuesdays and Thursdays as we rotate through popular breastfeeding topics, answer your questions, and connect as a group. After you arrive, sign in, and complete screening, find yourself a spot to sit. We do recommend that you bring a blanket for yourself and baby to sit on, and whatever toys/items you will require to keep baby entertained. During Breastfeeding Buddies Cravings Connections sessions, Covid-19 restrictions will be observed. 2m distance is required between all participants from separate households, including children/babies. Topic: Coping with Crying – Coping with Crying: Feeling alone with a crying baby can make any parent overwhelmed; especially when breastfeeding isn't "working". Become a Buddy
Did you know that the Breastfeeding Buddies program of the Waterloo Region recently received a grant from the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation to expand peer breastfeeding support?
The campaign will mobilize many levels of partnerships to improve hospital-to-community supports and engage with priority populations to increase breastfeeding rates across Waterloo Region.
Stay tuned for updates on “The Building Supportive Breastfeeding Communities Campaign.”
