Sign up today for this free 2 hour VIRTUAL breastfeeding class. At the Me Breastfeed prenatal workshop you will learn about what to expect the first 7 days after birth, how to overcome breastfeeding challenges and where to go for help and support. This workshop is lead by peer breastfeeding volunteers that have lived breastfeeding experience and are trained by the Breastfeeding Buddies Program of Waterloo Region. Join us on February 3rd at 1pm for this free movie screening, followed by a free workshop about preparing for emergencies and countering commercial influence in infant feeding for parents and other members of the public. You'll learn:
- How to prepare for an emergency during pregnancy or with young children
- How to help very young children cope during and after a major emergency
- How to protect your decisions on how to feed your baby from commercial influence

Become a Buddy
Did you know that the Breastfeeding Buddies program of the Waterloo Region recently received a grant from the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation to expand peer breastfeeding support?
The campaign will mobilize many levels of partnerships to improve hospital-to-community supports and engage with priority populations to increase breastfeeding rates across Waterloo Region.
Stay tuned for updates on “The Building Supportive Breastfeeding Communities Campaign.”
