Learning to Latch + Building Supply!:

Learning to latch comfortably, and building a milk supply takes time, practice, and SUPPORT! We can help you improve your latch, and show you new positions to breastfeed in. We will also help you to feel confident that your baby is getting enough milk. Come and learn how to build and protect your milk supply as well as normal feeding patterns. We’re also happy to answer other lactation questions!

2:00 pm: Beyond The Basics - Weaning Join Our Guided Conversation About Why, When and How Weaning Happens

Weaning is a big and very important decision for families. Join this guided conversation when your baby is around a year old to talk about the How's and Why's of weaning. Maybe you are completely ready, maybe you are not sure, maybe someone else thinks it is time for you to wean. Talk it out and learn about other how families have experienced weaning.
Please note that this session is not aimed at babies who are six months of age or younger. The World Health Organization Recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months and two years of age and beyond with the addition of complementary foods.

Did you know that the Breastfeeding Buddies program of the Waterloo Region recently received a grant from the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation to expand peer breastfeeding support?

The campaign will mobilize many levels of partnerships to improve hospital-to-community supports and engage with priority populations to increase breastfeeding rates across Waterloo Region.
